It is a symbol of Dynic pursuing the intellectual
exchange among people and between people and nature.
DYNIC ASTROPARK TENKYUKAN (Astronomical Observatory), equipped with a 60cm diameter reflector telescope and a
variety of observation equipment, is the first public observatory operated by a private company.
Since the company foundation, we have been deeply involved in the fields of culture and education through book covering
materials and we opened this observatory in 1987 as an ideal form of social contribution and cultural activities.

The main telescope, housed in the 6.5m-diameter dome, is a 60cm reflector telescope manufactured by Nishimura Mfg. Co., Ltd. With a light gathering power of 7,350 times greater than the naked eye, it can show us stars as close as 16th magnitude.
The mount is an orthodox German-style equatorial mount, but the optical and control systems were modified in 2016 to make it even easier to use.
60cm primary mirror is made of ZERODUR glass-ceramic composite material made in Germany and was polished by Takao Namura.
*Namura Takao is a telescope-mirror craft man in Japan, with a career spanning 50 years and more than 2,000 mirrors polish both in Japan and overseas. His mirrors are well known as “NAMURA-MIRROR”. He is based in the same prefecture as the observatory.
Activity
In addition to the above 60cm reflector telescope, we have six telescopes and large binoculars installed on the balcony, as well as numerous mobile telescopes.
Meteorites and old star charts are also on display, the facility makes anyone from children to adults familiar with astronomy.
Solar and stargazing events are held as below. No reservation is required for any of these events to enjoy “universe”.
